In his weekly televised address, Gen Prayut said the markets would consist of some new sites and additional space at existing markets run by various state agencies. The Bangkok Pracharat Market at 14 locations will provide sales outlets for about 10,000 sellers. Provincial Pracharat Market venues, meanwhile, will present unique local products and seasonal items at tourist attractions. The Pracharat Market run by the Commerce Ministry will promote sales at floating markets and tourist attractions. The Local Pracharat Market run by the Bank for Agriculture and Agricultural Cooperatives will increase sales space at its 147 sites.
